It doesn't matter if you know your way around the kitchen, can't tell a saucepan from a frying pan, or just want a fun night out - we have a class for you!

Each class is taught by one of our professional, local chefs in our cooking space - the Marketplace. Classes are small, with only 20 students or less, and feature demonstration style along with tips and tricks from the professional chef. After the class, the students sit down to enjoy the evening's creations.

*Please let us know if you have any allergies, classes are not recommended for a vegetarian diet unless otherwise stated. This is not a nut-free environment.*

Cost: $49*, includes a recipe and food prepared during class.

Please Note: All cooking classes may be two or two and a half hours depending on circumstances. Extended length may be due to food preparation time.

Fall Harvest Signs with Nailed It Nite: Thursday, Sept. 13, 6:30 - 9:30 p.m. Register FEE $60  

Let the Nailed It Nite creative directors show you how to build, design and paint a beautiful rustic-inspired harvest sign that will look perfect on your front porch, or in your garden next to those gorgeous fall coloured mums, all while enjoying some delicious wine from Simply Fine Wine!

Finished sign will be approximately 8"x4', using two 1x4" boards nailed together.

Meals Without Madness Part 1: Wednesday, Sept. 19, 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. Register FEE $25

September is the time when most of us are returning to the normal routines and the busyness of activities. We are racing from work to home to evening commitments with barely enough time to eat a meal much less cook one. In this two-part series instructor and chef Nicole Puffer will show you how to simplify meal planning, prep and cooking to get you in and out the door in record time without sacrificing nutrition. No drive-thru lines needed! Let me show you how to take the “MADNESS” out of your meals this fall.

Sip & Soil Autumn Themed Planter hosted by 'Yearn to Urn', Thursday, Sept. 27, 6:30-8:30 p.m. Register FEE $55

Sip & Soil is back by popular demand! Join Yearn to Urn and Buzz Tour Co. for an evening of wine, seasonal planting and fun!

Just in time for Thanksgiving, join us on Thursday, Sept. 27 as Yearn to Urn walks you through designing a 10-12” autumn themed planter. Pumpkins, ornamental cabbages, mums and more come together for a wonderfully festive fall planter. Learn the fundamentals of creating and shaping your planter as well as the designing concepts to personalize it too. By the end of the class you will take home a beautiful hand-made fall planter that is as contemporary or traditional as you are.   

Enjoy tasting wines while you pot! Buzz Tour Co.’s drink diva, Christine, will have you exploring wines from the up-and-coming wine region of Norfolk County!

 

October Classes:

Cook like Oma - Saturday, October 13 from 10 a.m. to noon - FREE

Bring your family to learn how to make pretzels and other traditional German food, just like Oma makes. Afterwards, see traditional German dancers and music, along with appearances from some of your favorite Oktoberfest mascots!

This is a free event; however, we would like to encourage participants to bring a non-perishable food donation with them to donate toward the Waterloo Region Food Bank for the Thanksgiving holiday season.

Halloween Signs with Nailed It Nite: Friday  Oct. 19, 6:30 - 9:30 p.m. Register FEE $55  

Let the Nailed It Nite team show you how to build, design and paint a fun or spooky Halloween 14"x18" wooden sign, just in time for those little monsters to knock on your door, all while enjoying some wine courtesy of Simple Fine Wine in Waterloo! Each wooden sign will be aprox 14"x18", using 4 1x4" boards nailed together.

There are four stencils to choose from:

  • Halloween "cut out"
  • Trick or Treat
  • A witch, her little monster(s), handsome devil live here
  • Hocus Pocus I need Wine to Focus

Working with Essential Oils - DIY Cleaning Products: Saturday, Oct. 20, 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. Register FEE $5

Want to live a more sustainable and healthy lifestyle, but don't know where to start?

Come and join us October 20 as Michelle Renee walks us through a non-toxic lifestyle with 11 popular essential oils and blends. Learn about their origins, why quality makes a difference and how to use them safely and effectively to replace harsh household cleaning products, support your health and more.

Everyone who attends will have the opportunity to make an all natural soft scrub that can be used for cleaning kitchen and bathroom surfaces gently and naturally.

Cost - $5, please register for each person attending.

Let the Nailed It Nite team lead you step by step and teach you how to build, design and paint the perfect Christmas or winter wooden sign all while enjoying some wine courtesy of Simply Fine Wine in Waterloo! Each wooden sign will be approximately 14"x18", using four 1x4" boards nailed together

  • Weather outside is frightful, wine is so delightful

Oh the weather outside is frightful but your winter planter is so delightful!  Join us on Wednesday, Nov. 21 as Yearn to Urn walks you through designing a 10-12” winter themed planter.  Make it as seasonal or festive as your winter heart desires. Learn the fundamentals of creating and shaping your planter as well as the designing concepts to personalize it too. By the end of the class you will take home a beautiful hand-made winter planter that is as contemporary or traditional as you choose to make it.

Speaking of delightful, as you create your planters Buzz Tour Co.’s Drink Diva, Christine, will have you exploring wines from the up-and-coming wine region of Norfolk County!

December Classes:

Winter Herb Planter with Nailed It Nite: Wednesday, Dec. 5, 6:30 - 9:30 p.m. Register FEE $60

During this exclusive three-hour workshop, Nailed It Nite will teach you how to build your planter box, Simply Fine Wine will teach you about the perfect Christmas wine and The Garden Shed will teach you how to properly care for and maintain your herb planter for the perfect Christmas culinary experience!

You will be offered to choose up to four different herbs and choice of one handle set for your DIY Herb Planter, while supplies last.
