What to expect
The Kitchener Market has two spaces where you can experience fresh local flavours. Our Food Hall is a great place to pick up a quick lunch or dinner and our farmers’ market has affordable groceries from local producers year-round.
The Food Hall is on the upper floor of the Kitchener Market and is home to a variety of food vendors offering cuisine from around the world. Enjoy Turkish, Mexican, Caribbean, Middle Eastern, Italian, European flavours and more!
The Farmers’ market is open on Saturdays and is located on the lower floor of the Kitchener Market. You can find affordable, fresh food from local vendors, including produce, meats, seafood, baked goods, cheese, specialty food items and more. Local artisan vendors also sell arts, crafts and other specialty goods.
Throughout the year, we host cooking classes, special events and live music events. Visit our calendar of events to see what’s coming up!
Is the farmers’ market open in the winter?
The farmers’ market is open year-round! In the winter, the farmers’ market is fully indoors but still carries all the fresh local flavours the season has to offer.
Selling or performing at the Kitchener Market
The Kitchener Market hosts a variety of local vendors, buskers and performers. Check out our Become a vendor or busker page to learn more about the opportunities to exhibit at the Kitchener Market and submit an application.
Payment methods
We have many food vendors and artisans that accept payment by cash, debit or credit. Some vendors still prefer cash payment, so it’s helpful to have cash on hand. We have 4 ATMs on-site for you to use while you’re here.
Student discounts
Most of our vendors offer student discounts to help make your trip more affordable. Keep an eye out for the student discount sign at a vendor’s booth and present your student card to receive a discount.
