Kids in the Kitchen program
Kids in the Kitchen is a hands‑on cooking program designed to inspire young chefs and build confidence in the kitchen. Led by a professional chef, classes give kids the chance to learn new skills, try tasty recipes, make a mess, and learn how to clean it up.
Participants cook independently and get to enjoy or take home what they create at the end of each class. Programs are designed for youth ages 8 to 12. Please note that sharp knives and hot surfaces may be used.
- Cost: $40 - $60
- Age: kids aged 8 - 12
- Dates: see event calendar for upcoming classes
Our hands-on camp brings everything your kids love about the Kids in the Kitchen program to a week-long camp! We encourage campers (aged 8 to 12) to roll up their sleeves, get messy and make new friends.
In this camp, your little chefs will learn about basic cooking, nutrition, food preparation and more. Our Jr Chefs will go through multiple recipes a day to cook their own meals and snacks. Between cooking, there will be arts & crafts, games, and free time to spend with their fellow campers. Each junior cook will receive copies of the recipes from that week to recreate at home!
Registration includes one meal, two snacks, and activities for each day. Please bring a refillable water bottle.
We encourage families to register early, as spaces fill up quickly.

Fee assistance is available for local children and adults who would like to participate in city programming but may not have the full financial means.
